Significance of the number 3.4

How does a number gain any significance at all? It is from what it represents. A sprinter would know the significance of 9.77 seconds. A pole vaulter (???) would know about 6.14 meters. In today’s competitive scenario 100 % in a couple of subjects do not matter anymore for high school students. They want that score in every subject and still be one among many. But 3.4 has become the most significant number for me from 13th December 2005, the day my daughter was born. And she weighed 3.4 kg.
